Dr. George Bell [1858-1927] graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1880 and practiced in the United States before settling in Kingston. He produced patent medicines for the use in farm livestock and pet animals that were sold under the name ‘Dr. Bell's Wonder Medicine' and which were used as a sort of ‘cure all' but especially in the treatment of colic and inflammation. After his death in 1927, the patent medicine company continued under his son's guidance, expanding from treatments for horses, farm animals and pets to include household cleaners, as well as medicines for human consumption. This pamphlet is devoted to the diseases and illnesses of horses, cows and swine, and the relevant products produced by ‘Dr. Bell's Wonder Medicine Company.'
