Selling Your Books

We actively seek to buy books in those specialty areas listed but we are happy to look at almost any books pre 1920. After 1920 we mostly want literature, both Canadian and otherwise, in First editions and travel books. But in general any book which takes our fancy could be of interest. The percentage of the selling price which we pay is based on several factors, but mostly desirability and saleability.

We examine and appraise libraries for fair market value for which service our fees are based on time expended. In those cases where we are able to buy the books we waive the appraisal fee.

Consignment Sales

We sometimes take books on consignment to sell for the owners. In such cases we work on a much smaller percentage of the selling price, since we don't have to pay for them, until a sale is completed.
