Each story is printed within a green, blue, red, or yellow illustrated framed border with an illustration by Bosschere printed within a decorative colour border on the facing page. A fine copy in the pictorial d/w which is chipped at the extremities, but still an acceptable dustwrapper. Scarce in dustwrapper.
A re-telling of nine classic children's stories: Little Red Riding Hood -- Sleeping Beauty -- Jack and the beanstalk -- Hansel and Gretel -- Elsie of the ass's skin -- Bluebeard -- Puss in Boots -- Hop-o'-my-thumb -- Cinderella -- The story-teller says good-bye.
