Philadelphia: David McKay, nd. circa 1900? In thirteen volumes. The ‘Handy Stratford Edition.' 12mo., orig. flexible maroon cloth, t.e.g. Each volume with an engraved frontispiece. Ownership name in volume one, the odd notation in ink but o/w this is a fine set in the original publisher's cloth box with ‘Handy Stratford Edition' and ‘Shakespeare' in gilt on the lid, there is a printed list of the volumes and contents on the inner lid. The ribbon used to pull the books out of the books is broken in two, the box has some very minor wear but overall is very nice.
