New York: J.W. Schermerhorn & Co., 1872. Later edition of the revised and expanded edition. Tall 8vo., original brown cloth with a small pictorial decoration in black, 271pp. With Illustrations. This copy has "C.W. Bardeen &Co, Syracuse NY" stamped in black on the upper cover and as this is the original publishers cloth we assume it was issued thus. Some light rubbing o/w a better than very good but not quite near fine copy.
First published in 1858 as ‘Country School-Houses’ this work was revised and expanded, and published under this title in 1871.
