Inscription, spine ends a bit rubbed o/w a near fine copy of an attractive book. A fictional tale, however the author has "drawn on incidents from many books of African travel and exploration; he has sought to confine fiction to the narrowest bounds," many of the illustrations are from works such as those of Stanley, Livingstone, Speke, Barth and Burton.
