First edition, first issue (this copy has been bound with both the "Fireside" and the later plate. 8vo., cont. black half calf, marble boards, raised bands, gilt compartments, leather labels, 331; 307; 315pp. (lacking the halftitles). With plates by Cruikshank. Some darkening to the perimeter of plates, light foxing on some plates as usual, marks on the front pastedown in volume 1 from the removal of a bookplate, some rubbing to the marble boards but still a better than very good copy.
