Tall 8vo., parts one to four bound in contemporary red cloth, part five in brown cloth backed boards, 77, 113, 68, 195; 149pp. With illustrations. A fine copy in mixed bindings.
Santiago Ramon y Cajal [1852-1934] Spanish doctor whose major contribution to medicine was his work on histology and the nervous system. He published several works in this field along with more than 100 articles in Spanish and French scientific periodicals. In 1906 he shared the Nobel Prized with Camillo Golgi for their work on the structure of the nervous system.
