Francis Schlatter [1855-1895] mystic born in Alsace but emigrated to the U.S. "he travelled the country with head and feet bare, preaching the love of God and peace amongst men. When imprisoned as a vagrant he continued to preach in jail. He had the gift of healing and cured many individuals by merely placing his hand on their heads." He disappeared from Denver in 1895 and was not seen again.
