Second edition, with coloured illustrations. 4to., orig. brown cloth blocked in gilt and blind, A.E.G., viii, 66pp. With 28 leaves of plates (12 chromolithographs, 16 wood engravings). Text and wood engravings printed at the Chiswick Press. Inner hinge cracked, rubber stamp in the margin of half a dozen pages (not the plates) but still an about fine copy of this attractive book which is difficult to find in fine condition. First published in 1866 as "A Handbook of the Art of Illumination."
