Collections & Catalogues

We own, and are preparing for sale, several collections which we have been systematically amassing, sometimes for many years. Being a strong partisan of the view that dealers, who frequent bookshops and other book venues incessantly, are best equipped to form collections, it follows that we have pursued this philosophy ourselves for many years. We have built and sold a fair number of subject and author collections over the years and those we are now preparing for sale include some of our longest-running projects. The following collections are in various stages of preparation and will be available to interested parties as we can properly assess and catalogue them.

Brian Moore Collection

An extensive collection of his first and secondary editions including proofs, first English, Canadian and American editions, including the early, and sometimes very rare, paperbacks often issued under pseudonyms and all rejected by Moore in his later years who consistently refused to acknowledge or even sign them. Many are signed and inscribed by Moore. Also, included an ALs by Graham Greene describing Moore as his favourite living novelist. Click to view details

Bulwer Lytton Collection
